About

Model: Simplified Hodgkin-Huxley (leaky integrate-and-fire).

Action potential: When membrane voltage crosses threshold, the neuron fires (+40mV spike), then enters refractory period (-70mV).

Synapses: Excitatory (green) depolarizes the postsynaptic neuron. Inhibitory (red) hyperpolarizes it. Signal travels with a small delay.
